Meet Steve Salameh, the founder of Port & Park with over 35 years in Chicago’s food scene. Starting in England, Steve honed his craft alongside top pros in the Windy City. Passionate about great food, drinks, and company, he’s dedicated to creating unforgettable moments. At Port & Park, Steve’s mission is to bring people together over exceptional meals and service. Meet Carima Hareas Salameh, the heart of Port & Park. With a passion for hospitality since age 14, Carima brings years of experience and a love for travel to her work. Whether serenading guests on their birthday or ensuring every child leaves with a toy, her dedication to customer happiness is unmatched. As owner of Port & Park, Carima strives to create unforgettable dining experiences, blending great food with exceptional service to ensure every guest leaves smiling.
Chef Jose Luis Garcia
Meet Jose Luis García, the culinary talent behind Port & Park’s made-from-scratch menu. Hailing from San Luis Potosi, Mexico, Luis began his journey at 17 working with his uncle in an international hotel. After moving to Chicago in 1992, he gained experience at food trucks and top spots like Cafe 28, where he spent 18 years. With a passion for high-quality ingredients, Luis crafts dishes that bring people together. Outside the kitchen, he enjoys family time and playing volleyball and basketball.
Mike Santiago - Head Bartender
Chicago native and 20-year restaurant veteran Mike Santiago began his career at Stage's Family Restaurant, quickly building a clientele. He later served on Kanan Cruises and worked at Papa T's. In 2011, Mike joined Bar Below, staying until its closure in 2019, and joined Port & Park in 2021. He loves tailoring unique guest experiences and crafting a beverage program that complements the menu. Outside of bartending, Mike enjoys interior design and has a background in property management.
Kelsey Floro - Manager/Bartender
Kelsey Floro moved to Chicago from Sewickley, PA, in 2011 to study communications at Loyola University. He started bartending at SIP, Port & Park's predecessor, in his first bartending role, and 11 years later, he’s still here! Kelsey loves connecting with colleagues, regulars, and newcomers. Outside of work, he writes short stories, is working on his first short film, and also works as a realtor. Stop by, say hi, and try his signature old fashioned!
